Beginners' First Project

Building on the skills learned in the previous classes, this series of three classes will increase your knitting knowledge to include using circular and double pointed needles, knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing and using more than one color.

3 part class is $60.

Project Classes

I love seeing students succeed and push toward more challenging projects. Do you have a pattern you'd like to try but some of the instructions have you hesitant? I'm here for you. We will work through the details to create confidence to start your project. I've taught classes on hairpin lace, socks, sweaters, scarves, hats, gauging knits, needle types and many more. We will determine your needs and make arrangements based on those needs.

$20/hour.

I'm a method instructor. I want you to be successful with your project but I also want you to progress in your skill level and confidence. Whether it be socks or scarves or mittens or afghans, we will work step by step to maximize your experience. Contact me to schedule a time and meeting place in Bryan/College Station and/or Waco TX.

Learn to Knit

When I work with beginners, I recommend a three session process that stresses technique and muscle memory. In the first class, you will learn cast on and the knit stitch. In the second class we review class one as well as learning how to purl and bind off. In the third class we review how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off as well as how to intermix the knit and purl stitches within a row to create ribs.

Each class has homework that solidifies the process for future projects.

3 part class with supplies is $75.
